The State Library of South Australia has a large number of resources that may assist you in tracing your English or Welsh ancestry. This guide also contains websites of interest, contact details for relevant organisations and tips & tricks.

The purpose of this page is to assist with tracing ministers of religion, locating a parish, or simply learning more about various church denominations and their records.

If you know the name of the parish or church in which your ancestor was baptised, married or buried from, try a simple Google search for information. 

A number of genealogy local history groups have now made parish register and other information on line.
