Getting started

The State Library of South Australia's main collecting focus is South Australian material.  It also actively maintains a very good general reference collection, which at this time can only be used in the library and is not able to be borrowed (to take home) from. Whilst the library has some collection specialisations it does not hold comprehensive collections of specialist books for tertiary study subjects including nursing, accounting and business.

Are you  enrolled at a private college in South Australia?

If you are enrolled with a private college here in South Australia you need to check with the college what library support services are included as part of your enrolment.

If your college does not offer any library services  the State Library can help you with the following: remote access to some electronic databases, access to general reference books, computer facilities, quiet and group study spaces that can be used when the library is open.
