New South Wales births, deaths & marriages online

New South Wales Births, Deaths and Marriages from 1788 onwards are available freely online.

Compulsory registration of all births, deaths and marriages (including those occurring at sea) began in NSW on 1 March 1856.

Prior to this date, church records give details of baptisms, deaths and marriages. Many church records are held at the New South Wales Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages.
